Our ‘Meet the Brand’ this week is one for all you bearded gentlemen. For the 7th instalment we welcome Mr Natty, the old school barber who has a passion for hand-made products and supplying guys with the very best beard essentials.
Answered by Mr Natty (Founder)
I remember looking around shops on my travels and could honestly never recommend any products and had a real passion to create products that were very traditional and hand-made. I then started to make my own products in my kitchen but wanted to make sure I brought my own sense of humour to it, which is the biggest inspiration behind our products.
Sense of humour.
The fact I am a barber gives Mr Natty a real edge as I know what people want, but I also feel that the fact our products do what they say on the tin makes us what we are.
Firstly, it helps to know what kind of beard you want. If you are stuck then it helps to look at celebrities and models to get an idea. I then would say that it takes patience. You need to let it grow out and not worry about cutting it too quickly. To look after your beard I recommend using the Mr Natty Frank's Beard Elixir on a daily basis and then once or twice a week give it a good shampoo with the Face Forest Shampoo.
Another big tip is to make sure that you have a healthy diet. Without that you will find it difficult to get the beard that you want.
A beard oil can have a massive impact to both your beard and skin. A beard oil moisturises the beard and skin underneath and this helps to aid beard growth. On top of that, a beard oil also produces a nice smell for the beard, which is very important.
I would recommend just twice a week with the Face Forest Soap Beard Shampoo, as you don’t want to lose the beards natural oils.
It all really depends on the type of hair you have but some good points to note down are;
I would recommend to firstly comb the beard out as much as possible, then get a good pair of scissors and give it a nice trim. It is really important that you get a good shape and balance. However, if you are not confident then go down to your local barbers and they should be able to sort you out.
We would like to send a big thank you to Mr Natty himself and the team for taking the time to answer our questions in great detail. We look forward to adding to the Mr Natty product range in the coming months.
