2017 has been a great year for men trying new things out with their hair, and trends are becoming less & less common, and more about men just experimenting with different styles!

The big trend with men's hair is the fade, a lot of styles are being adapted and including a fade on the back & sides. Here we look at some of the big styles for men's hair in 2017 - hopefully this can bring you some inspiration for switching up your own style!

 

TEXTURED CROP HAIRCUT

The crop haircut is one that has really taken late 2016 - 2017 by storm, with an added fade on back - it is a very smart, stylish and on trend cut right now!

To style use a product that adds texture & has a low shine like a Paste. You shouldn't need to use a lot of product as you want this style to look natural!

SIDE PARTING HAIRCUT

Ok, so not technically a 2017 haircut, but the side parting never goes out of fashion. Still as stylish in 2017 as it was in the 1940's. It's a classic style that is the perfect smart style for gents! Add a fade or even a hard part to really bring this into 2017!

LONGER ON TOP WITH FADE HAIRCUT

For those gents who want to switch up a longer on top style, keep a tight fade around the back and sides and leave that length through the top so that you have something to play with.

HARD PART HAIRCUT

The hard part is an adaptation on the side parting haircut. Your barber will put a hard line into the hair with a razor! This makes the cut a lot easier to style for you at home as there is a clear separation between the top and side of the hair.

LONG & TAPERED HAIRCUT

The long & tapered haircut is a great way to switch up your longer flowing hair. It leaves the back and sides a little shorter than it is through the top. This is not as harsh as a fade for gents not willing to go so short on the back and sides, but still gives a very clean look!

LOW HARD LINE PART HAIRCUT

The low hard line part is a haircut that is starting to become more & popular. It's not for a lot of gents, but for gents that are looking to experiment a bit and have something different it could be great for you! Similar to the hard part in that your barber will do this with the razor, but more common on modern styles like the crop.

AFRO WITH FADE

The afro with fade is a clean style for Afro-carribean hair. Keep the shorts clean & tight with a 0-1 fade on back & sides. You can also mix it up with a hard part!

DYED MEN'S HAIRSTYLE

If you're looking to be even more experimental with your hair, then why not try a different colour. Blonde has been the traditional colour for dying men's hair so far, but brighter colours are becoming more popular with colours like pink & green.
