Current Jake Gyllenhaal Hairstyle 2019

What is the hairstyle? Jake Gyllenhaal loves a medium length haircut and his current hairstyle is exactly that. The current Gyllenhaal haircut is a medium length scissor cut parted at the side. You'll want around 6-7 inches through the fringe getting slightly shorter through the back and through the sides. Gyllenhaal uses his natural parting aswell to let the hair fall.

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: The haircut is going to be all about the pre-styling with a blow dryer to get it into shape. Use a salt spray like the Regal Gentleman Salt Spray (coming soon) in damp hair to add hold and texture to the hair. You can then either leave it there or finish with a tiny bit of a low shine product like a paste for added hold and a natural look.

Jake Gyllenhaal Prisoners Haircut

What is the hairstyle? One of the most requested Jake Gyllenhaal haircuts is the Detective Loki style from Prisoners. The haircut is a slicked back undercut, that is connected through the back. The longest point of the hair is in the fringe, around 5-6 inches and then this gets shorter towards the back of the head, where there's around an inch of length left. The sides are taken to around a number 3-4, but this could be done with a more personalised technique like clipper or scissor over comb too. This isn't the easiest haircut to explain as the hair is disconnected at the front and then as it reaches towards the back of the sides gets connected and blends into the hair at the back of the head, so show your barber a picture if you want to try to replicate it!

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: To style the Jake Gyllenhaal Prisoners haircut you will want something that adds a medium to high shine to the hair but that doesn't make the hair stiff and heavy. Use a water based pomade like the Regal Gentleman Pomade (coming soon) to style the Gyllenhaal Prisoners hairstyle.

Jake Gyllenhaal Southpaw Haircut

What is the hairstyle? In Southpaw, Jake plays Billy "The Great" Hope and in it his hairstyle is just that. It's a buzzcut with a shorter back and sides and longer length on top. Gyllenhaal wears this haircut with around a high 0.5-1 fade on the back and sides with around a 2-3 on top.

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: The best thing about the buzzcut is you need to do no styling at all. Just get up in the morning and get on with your day. It will require a little maintenance as it grows out but you can get away with a haircut anywhere from every 2-6 weeks depending on how fresh you like to keep it - if you like it especially sharp on the sides then you'll be visiting your barber more often.

Jake Gyllenhaal Nightcrawler Haircut

What is the hairstyle? Nightcrawler could well be our favourite Gyllenhaal movie, and in it he wears a slicked back medium length haircut. For most of the movie he doesn't wear it as slicked, but we love this look from the movie. It's the same haircut just don't wear it slicked if you don't want to. To get it you want anywhere from around 7-8 inches on top, leaving plenty of length through the sides too that can be tucked behind the ears for an all round long length look.

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: This one is probably a little overstyled for a lot of people, as the hair is ultra slicked back and heavy with no movement at all in it. It looks like it has a lot of product in it. We'd recommend going a little less on the product and going for a high shine water based pomade like the Regal Gentleman Pomade (coming soon) for the slicked back look. If you want to wear it how we wears it in a lot of the movie with a more natural look then go for a salt spray in damp hair.

Jake Gyllenhaal Source Code Haircut

What is the hairstyle? The Jake Gyllenhaal Source Code haircut is a high and tight fade with just a little more than finger length on top. The top is heavily textured for a messier finish. On the sides you want to go for around a high #1 into a #2 towards the top of the head.

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: To style this haircut we'd recommend using a product with a natural finish that adds plenty of texture. Use a clay like the Regal Gentleman Matte Clay to replicate the Source Code look. Don't spend too long styling, just put get the product through and style with your fingers.

Jake Gyllenhaal Jarhead Haircut

What is the hairstyle? The Jake Gyllenhaal Jarhead haircut is a classic military high and tight buzzcut. A lot of military haircuts in movies will be left unfaded, but the reason that this haircut looks even more wearable is the high fade added to the hair, which adds more style and definition to the cut. Ask for a classic military high and tight buzz cut. It's taken down to a high skin fade on the back and sides with around a 0.5-1 on top (it's slightly different lengths at times the film).

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: Just like the Southpaw haircut, the best thing about this haircut is that it will need no styling at all, just get out of bed in the morning and you will be good to go. This one is a little shorter and tighter so it will probably notice more as it grows out, so you may be visiting your barber a little sooner if you want to keep it fresh.

Jake Gyllenhaal Love and Other Drugs Haircut

What is the hairstyle? Jake Gyllenhaal's haircut in Love and Drugs suits his character perfectly. It's a blend of smart and suave with added texture for a care free look at the same time. We'd call this a medium length soft textured quiff. Nothing too overly quiffed or pomped, just a subtle quiff with plenty of texture added through. The sides look to have been cut using scissor over comb or clipper over comb to give a more personalised finish, but you could go down to around a #3-4 on the back and sides. You don't want anything too short or harsh for this look.

Styling this Jake Gyllenhaal haircut: This style is going to be all about the blow dryer and pre-styling to get the blown back look he has. Use a pre-styler like a salt spray in damp hair and then finish with a low shine product like the Regal Gentleman Texture Paste (coming soon). You want a product that adds texture and gives a strong hold. Sometimes in the movie it's also worn with a more slicked look, so if you want to replicate this use a medium to high shine pomade instead.
