Sorry Arsenal fans!
Antoine Griezmann was the undoing of an otherwise great result for Arsenal.
In the game he showcased not only his goalscoring ability, but his status as a hairstyle icon.
With many man looking switch longer locks for shorter and simpler haircuts, the buzz cut has once again come out of the woodwork.
Here's all you need to know about the new Antoine Griezmann haircut.
The new Antoine Griezmann haircut is a buzz cut. It looked slightly longer against Arsenal than when he first debuted it, and the cut was probably around a number 3 all over at first and against Arsenal around a number 4-5 all over.
Unlike a lot of modern buzz cuts, that are mixed with fades on the back & sides, Antoine Griezmann appears to have gone for a traditional buzz cut with the same grade all over.
Antoine Griezmann's hair is dark and pretty thick, so a shorter grade can actually appear longer than it is on someone with lighter or finer hair. This is always good to bare in mind as a number 3 or 4 on you may look shorter than it does on Antoine Griezmann.
If you're not sure on how short you want it then it's always best to ask your barber if they can start with a higher grade, maybe a 6 or 7 to begin with and then work down! You can always take more hair off, but you can't put more on!
If you want the haircut to look similar to the Antoine Griezmann haircut then show your barber a picture. Your barber can then make their own assumptions and suggestions for your hair!
You could also switch up the buzz cut with a fade on the back and sides. Check our list of 9 Summer Hair Trends For 2018 to see more about the buzz cut with a fade.
The best thing about a buzz cut and the new Antoine Griezmann haircut is that it will require no styling at all! You can just get up in the morning and get on with your day without the effort of getting your hair into place.
The buzz cut is not for the faint hearted and it's one that you have to commit to!
But luckily a buzz cut will often suit most face shapes. The only face shape that wouldn't be suggested for a buzz cut is round. With the hair so short, it will only showcase the roundness of the face more.
The best way to find out if it will suit you is to ask your barber though and have a thorough consultation with them! If not they may be able to suggest something in between that may be better suited for you.
This will all depend on how fresh you want it to look. If you want it to look ultra fresh and clean then you'll be looking at every 1-2 weeks. However if you're happy to just let it grow out then you can probably get away with 4-6 weeks before really needing a refresh!
If you decide after a while that the buzz isn't for you anymore, then just go to your barber to get the back and sides tidied up regularly and leave the top to grow out. Then once the top starts to grow in, get your barber to shape and add texture to it to help it grow in nicely, rather than it being all one length on top!
