Tom Hardy Taboo Hair - What is the haircut? How to style?
Tom Hardy is back on our screens, after Peaky Blinders, in the new BBC TV show (or FX in the US) Taboo. In this he appears as the crazy, James Keziah Delaney!
One thing that seems to be very popular from the show is the hairstyle that Tom has, so we thought we'd give you the lowdown on what it is, how to style it and how you should ask your barber for the Tom Hardy hairstyle! (P.S. unfortunately we can't promise this will make you look like Tom Hardy - as much as the ladies love him!)
What is the Tom Hardy Taboo hairstyle?
The hairstyle Tom Hardy (James Delaney) has in Taboo is a very simple one, it's a short back and sides (length between a 0 and 1 clipper) with a little bit of length left through the top, for an almost crop/combover style, when not covered in muck & dirt in Taboo and styled correctly! But we're assuming you won't be rolling around in dirt, like James Delaney does!

What should you ask your barber for?
When getting the cut you're always best to show your barber a clear picture (or even show them this blog post ;) ), it's the easiest and most simple way to achieve what you'd like.
But if you do want to be technical then you will want a number 0, 0.5 or 1 fade on back and sides. And then on top you want to just leave a few inches with length in the fringe and plenty of texture throughout!

How to style the Tom Hardy Taboo haircut?
f you want to go the full way like in Taboo, Tom Hardy has a very wet look to the top of the hair, so for this look we'd advise a water based pomade like the Regal Gentleman Vintage Pomade applied through wet hair or gel.
If you want something a little more modern with a similar style then we'd recommend using a matte finish product like the Regal Gentleman Matte Clay.
And finally, what is Tom Hardy's Taboo beard?
The beard that Tom Hardy has in Taboo is a great style and not one that a lot of gents in this day and age will be able to pull off! It's a very nice style though for gents with masculine, squarer shaped jaws. The beard style is a thick goatee, and then sometimes completely shaved on the sides of the jaw, or at times in Taboo it's a shorter length through the jaw.
Preferably, the shorter length in the sides and then kept longer through the middle is probably an easier style to pull off, and more on trend!
