How To Get The Falcao Haircut - World Cup 2018
The haircut brigade are out in force at the World Cup, with usual suspects like Antoine Griezmann, Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo all showcasing their new styles.
But, perhaps the surprise contender for best haircut at the World Cup is Radamel Falcao.
The Colombian striker has not only shown off his goal scoring touch, but has also unveiled a clean undercut hairstyle.
So what exactly is the Falcao haircut and how can you ask your barber for it.
What Is The Falcao Haircut
The Falcao haircut is an undercut with a mid to high skin fade on the back and sides.
How To Ask Your Barber For The Falcao Haircut
We say it every time, but show your barber a picture! It is by far the easiest way and eliminates any confusion.
However, for your own knowledge the sides are taken down to a skin fade and the top is around 4-5 inches in length all over. The haircut is worn in an undercut style, with the skin fade being a mid to high skin fade.
As we said in our Summer Trends blog, the undercut has had somewhat of a revival in 2018, after being referred to as "being dead" for a year or so. But it's back a lot softer and a lot less harsh than it was previously. That means having a soft fade on the back and sides, without going for anything too harsh like say the Peaky Blinders or Brad Pitt in Fury, just like Radamel Falcao does. So be mindful of this when going for the haircut - there's a fine line that could make this cut look too harsh for you!
How To Style The Falcao Haircut
The Falcao haircut will be all about the blow dryer to replicate the natural looking volume he has. So if you're someone that doesn't know how to use the blow dryer then get yourself acquainted with one. This won't be a quick 1 minute style in the morning either, so if you're looking for something quick and easy then this may not be for you.
To style the Falcao haircut, we'd recommend using a paste with a low to medium shine and a medium to high hold. Falcao wears this with a little bit of a natural shine, and still has the hair moveable.
For best results - use a small bit of paste in damp hair as a pre styler when blow drying. And then finish with a touch more when dry.
