Gentlemen dying their hair blonde has been a trend for a while, however it appears more and more gents are now taking the leap to change up their style. Perhaps the 2 biggest to note are Aaron Ramsey and Lionel Messi, who have both traded in their brown locks for newly dyed blonde ones.
But how do you know if blonde hair will suit you, or how do you look after your blonde hair? We spoke to 2 barbers, Phillip Brooks (@phill_the_barber - Manager of MR. Barbers, Colchester) and Talitha Maddison (@talitha.maddison - Barber / Owner of The BlackHouse), to get their opinions on the style and their advice on how to look after your newly dyed hair.

"Hair dying should always be done by a professional. Chunky highlights and slim shady yellow aren't good looks for a gentleman." Phillip
"Don't dye your hair yourself. And be aware that bleaching your hair is never going to leave it in great condition." Talitha

"You can't tell if it will suit, unless you take the leap! But you can always dye it back! haha" Talitha
"You can only suit a style as much as you are confident wearing it!" Phillip

"When caring for coloured/bleached hair, it is important to remember that after peroxide has done its thing your hair will be lacking in protein and the cuticle will be raised. So it is important that you bring a protein rich shampoo and conditioner into your hair routine, and keep the hair light by occasionally using a toning product." Phillip
"After dying your hair, make sure you do intense conditioning / hydrating treatments at least once a week!" Talitha
